Introduction

A well-known Manufacturer based in Durban has an exciting opportunity for a Manager Financial Reporting to join their team.

Description

Duties (will include but not limited to):

  • The successful incumbent will fulfil the necessary requirements by providing timeous, reliable and accurate information to management and Holding company
  • Accurately prepare monthly and annual financial results in terms of IFRS and management reporting
  • Coordination of, and Timely and accurate iFEM reporting
  • Timely and accurate variance analysis and meaningful explanations
  • Ensure the company is compliant in terms of statutory requirements (SOX, IFRS, and CO's Act)
  • Coordination and Preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Accurate and timely preparation of monthly Trust accounts
  • Timely reconciliation preparations
  • Monthly presentations to management
  • Liaising with Holding company regarding iFEM queries
  • Accurate SAP month end close procedures
  • Maintenance of SAP GL accounts
  • Adhoc - Supporting requests from management
  • Coordinating and supporting audits from external auditors
  • Knowledge and understanding of the trial balance (Back to Basics)
  • New Accounting policy preparation and adoption
  • Analysis and understanding of general ledger accounts
  • Financial Statement disclosure and preparation in terms of IFRS
  • Completion of various surveys
  • Preparation of information to support BBBEE requests
  • Tyre Levy computation and submission
  • Group and company financial statements consolidation
  • Postretirement benefit accounting
  • Embedded derative understanding and calculation
  • Cash flow preparation in terms of IAS7
  • Financial Instruments understanding and disclosure
  • IAS 24 Disclosures
  • Capitalisation of borrowing costs calculation and disclosure
  • IAS 37 understanding and disclosure
  • Group and foundation account preparations
  • IFRS 15 impact on the company

Education

Minimum Requirements:

  • CA (SA)
  • Articles in big four Audit firm
  • ERP system experience (SAP) - Maintenance and operational
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • In-depth working knowledge of IFRS
  • Demonstrate good management skills
  • Advanced computer literacy (Essential) (MS Excel)
  • Good business acumen (Advantageous)
  • Overtime will be required
