Introduction

An opportunity for an IT Business Process Analyst I/Lead Business Process Analyst in Cape Town has come available.

Description

Duties (will include but not limited to):

  • Lead and manage a team of Business Process Analysts as required by projects and operating plan initiatives
  • Ensure delivery of all projects and initiatives to customer's expectations and within the BPA framework
  • Contribute in the development of the relevant project management artefacts i.e.  Project Initiation Document (PID), Project Definition Report (PDR) etc
  • Lead/Participate in solution design workshops
  • Provide input into the Systems Requirements Specification and other Technical oriented documents
  • Ensure the integrity of the solution in accordance with the business requirements
  • Mentor, train and coach Business Process Analysts and quality assure their deliverables
  • Ensure that projects are appropriately resourced
  • Contribute to the development of Business Process Analysis operating plan and drive the execution thereof
  • Work with the business to understand the requirements, facilitate solution exploration, develop the Business Requirement Specification(s) and obtain consensus
  • Actively participate in, and promote a working group culture with the IT Business Process Analysis function
  • Plan, drive and execute functional testing and business sign off
  • Guide the preparation of or prepare user manuals and guides with the change manager
  • Review training documentation and participate in project training
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve and streamline business processes
  • Build relationship with IT Business Manager, Technical teams, Enterprise Architects, Quality Assurance teams and Business stakeholders

Education

Minimum Requirements

Technical and Functional

  • Business requirement analysis skills
  • Process design and documentation skills
  • Line management, coaching and mentoring experience
  • Systems development life cycle experience
  • Working knowledge of relevant methodologies and tools e.g. Process modelling tools (e.g. ARIS), project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile etc)
  • Broad general IT knowledge
  • Relevant 3 year Information Technology or business-related qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years Business/Process Analysis experience, preferably across multiple disciplines/domains
